Project Development

The Marketing / Engineering department begins development of a project plan and schedule during the proposal generation phase.

Upon award of the project, the Marketing / Engineering department reviews this plan with the Construction Manager and the site management selected to perform the work in order to review scope and finalize methodologies.

This management team is selected based on the type of work being performed to capitalize on their individual strengths.

NBS is also available to assist in the preplanning of projects including analysis of constructability, scope and schedule development and execution planning.

  • Constructability

  • NBS performs a Constructability study during the bid process of every project.

    During this phase, NBS determines a basic work methodology, including lift-plans, safety plans, rigging set-ups and develops a preliminary schedule to compare with the time frame of the outage.

    During the budget phase of the project, NBS personnel would be willing to assist our customer in determining cut-lines, sizing materials, laying out crane areas as well as other preplanning activities.

    Based on our analysis we can measure and compare the benefits of the following approaches:

    • Modularization
    • Field Assembly

  • Scope Development
  • NBS will be available to assist our customer in the development of work scopes for a wide range of situations including:

    • Order of Magnitude
    • Annual Inspect and Repair
    • Capital Expenditures

  • Schedule Development
  • The Marketing / Engineering group is available to assist our customers during the design / planning stages in order to develop an outage schedule that will both allow the work to be done in a safe, quality manner while minimizing downtime.

  • Execution Plan
  • The Marketing / Engineering group can develop a written execution plan outlining the milestones and work sequencing for any project we perform.
